Fine art photographer Hunter Gorham opened the doors to his new gallery, which is perched above Paulie’s, with Paradise Found, an exhibit showcasing infinity-mounted exotic images from far-off destinations like Cuba, Mallorca and Ibiza. The art transformed the old loft into an enticing sanctuary, far removed from the bustle of Westheimer just below. Over 200 guests were doing the salsa through the original hardwoods, exposed beams and white walls to beats by DJ Sun, while sipping spicy cardamom punch and nibbling Paulie’s monogrammed cookies and Rebecca Masson’s colorful assortment of macaroons. Guests lounged on oversized white sofas entranced in the globe-trekking videos of the artist’s adventures that lit up the walls of the gallery.
